Day 1: You leave our hotel for Cape Town's most famous icon: Table Mountain by the Aerial Cableway to take in the natural beauty and stunning views. The first botanical garden in the world to be established to protect local flora, Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden in the UNESCO-listed Cape Floral Kingdom follows. Lunch is at an African cuisine restaurant. Visiting Groot Constantia, we taste their export quality wines. We overnight at Caledon Hotel and Spa.
The Caledon Hotel and Spa which has an impressive view of the Klein Swartberg Mountains and the continuing wheat fields. The hotel offers guests mineral-rich hot springs and spa. The wellness centre is equipped with comfortable seating, natural hot springs, lap pool, steam room, sauna, frigidarium (The distinctive brown colour of the water is due to the rich mineral content known as chalybeate.), Swiss shower, elegant Victorian Bath House (erected 1897 and outdoor Jacuzzi.
Day 2: After breakfast, you’ll travel to Oudtshoorn for a Heritage Tour at the Cango Caves. Located in a limestone ridge parallel to the picturesque Swartberg Mountains, the caves include over 4 km of drip stone caverns with vast halls and towering formations of stalactites and stalagmites. You’ll walk through some of this subterranean wonderland with your guide on a 1-hour tour of the caves. From here we go to an Ostrich Farm where the largest fowl in the world can be studied. We drive to our overnight farm at De Zeekoe (or similar). This area is surrounded by the Swartberg and Outeniqua mountains, and one of the world’s 17 “hot spots” with 3 overlapping flower zones, which is located between the lush green Garden Route and the wide-open spaces of the Klein (Little) Karoo with the Outeniqua and Swartberg mountain ranges as backdrop.
Day 3: Get up before sunrise to take part in a Wild Meerkat tour which offers you the unique opportunity to see these animals that are part of the shy 5 in their natural environment.
You then go to the Storms River Suspension Bridge that hangs over the red-brown waters of the Storms River Mouth, it spans 77 metres and remains one of the most popular tourist attractions of the Tsitsikamma National Park. It hangs just seven metres above the churning waters of the river as it enters the foamy Indian Ocean. The walk is well worth the magnificent views and vistas of the turquoise ocean. You overnight at Beacon Island Resort Plettenberg Bay (or similar).

Day 4: Breakfast follows the drive to the town of Knysna where you enjoy a Featherbed Eco Experience at the Featherbed Nature Reserve, including a Ferry ride, Trail, Nature Walk & Buffet Lunch, or as an alternative, a Paddle Cruiser - to Knysna Heads.
Drive for approximately 2 hours to a Game Lodge where you will enjoy a sunset game drive in an open Jeep with an experienced game ranger who will bring you possible sightings of lion, elephant, white rhino, buffalo and cheetah. The Game Lodge is also home to giraffe, zebra and numerous antelope species such as bontebok, red hartebeest, kudu, eland, impala, springbuck and many more. Return to the lodge and enjoy refreshments around the fire at the Boma after which dinner is served. Stay here for 2 nights in a Luxury Suite.
This luxuriously appointed and perfectly positioned free standing suite offers a spacious room with private deck overlooking the game reserve. The en-suite bathroom boasts a free standing bath, double vanity and separate shower. For the adventurous, the outside bath and shower set in the African bush will take your breath away.
Day 5: An early morning sunrise game drive give you an appetite for a scrumptious breakfast after which you relax or take part in an optional guided game walk to enjoy sightings of various antelope species including giraffe, red hartebeest and over numerous bird species. Another sunset game drive is included.
Day 6: An early morning sunrise game drive is followed by breakfast and your return to Cape Town along Route 62, the world's longest wine route. You’ll pass through breath-taking scenery and have plenty of rest stops. Another wine tasting during lunch will be enjoyed. You will be dropped off at your Cape Town hotel or the airport.

Cancellation 60 days or more before departure: Amount paid less upfront costs. These upfront costs are disclosed to you when you use the Site to complete the transaction and may represent out of pocket expenses of Amatungulu Tours for tickets, transportation deposits and other additional expenses.
Cancellation 59 to 31 days before departure: 50% of tour price, if paid in full.
